Do people learn to drive a car or fly a plane without lessons? With all of the responsibility that comes with taking friends and family boating, shouldn’t you be properly trained before getting underway? My name is Capt. Jonathan D. Parmet, and I am the founder of I am a US Coast Guard Veteran and hold a USCG200gt license with STCW & commercial tow endorsement. Growing up on the waters of South Florida and having served in the US Coast Guard, I’ve witnessed far too many injuries and accidents which were avoidable. My approach to training is a learn-by-doing hands-on approach. While classroom training is helpful, it is not a substitute for hands-on training on your own boat. is 100% customized; you determine the areas that you would like to work on, and we focus on those areas in a stress-free environment. Common training topics include docking, anchoring, new boater orientation, navigation/ Marine electronics, rules of the road, safety, pre-trip planning/ provisioning, VHF radio procedures, water-ski safety, emergency at sea, rough seas handling, hurricane preparation, rafting-up, vessel care and maintenance, customs clearance procedures, first aid and CPR.

When you need your vessel delivered in a safe and timely manner, experience counts. Whether running up or down the Eastern Seaboard, heading to the Bahamas or out to the Caribbean, I've been fortunate enough to have successfully logged thousands of hours along these routes. Want to come along for the experience? No problem.
